Rivets are one of the most common and reliable ways of securing metal structures together. Solid rivets come in all shapes and sizes; they are faster to install than bolts and nuts and once installed should be considered as a permanent fixing. Blind rivets are multiple piece assemblies that are typically installed from just one side of the structure. They are typically used on the sub structures and nacelles surrounding the powerplant. Farsound supplies a variety of both types.
